Motorola Inc. said Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, that Zander will step down as chief executive of the troubled cell phone maker on Jan. 1. Ed Zander is out as Motorola’s CEO after a rocky four years that saw him oversee the cell-phone maker’s resurgence but ultimately bear blame for strategic gaffes that led to its decline.
